Sliding glass door
The Valley standard. New sliders glide on sealed rollers, lock tight and keep the afternoon heat out.
Best for replacing an old aluminum slider in the same opening
Replace a sticking, drafty slider with a door that glides and seals. Sliding, French, multi-slide and pocket doors, measured and installed by our own crews.
Every door is built to fit your opening, or we change the opening to fit the door you want.
The Valley standard. New sliders glide on sealed rollers, lock tight and keep the afternoon heat out.
Best for replacing an old aluminum slider in the same opening
Three to six panels stack to one side and open a wide section of wall to the patio.
Best for great rooms that face the yard or pool
Panels slide into a cavity in the wall and disappear. Needs framing work, which we handle.
Best for remodels where the opening can be rebuilt
Two swinging doors with a classic look. A tighter seal than most older sliders.
Best for traditional and Santa Barbara-style homes
Worn rollers and bent tracks are common on older aluminum sliders. Once the frame bends, new rollers rarely fix it for long.
If you have to lift or shove the door to latch it, the frame has shifted. That's a security problem too.
If dust gets in, air gets in. Your cooled air is leaking out the same way.
A failed seal means the insulating gas is gone and the glass is no longer doing its job.
Clear glass lets in solar heat and UV that bleaches flooring and furniture near the door.
If the slider feels small for the room, a multi-slide door can open most of the wall to the patio.
Going from a standard slider to a 12- or 16-foot multi-slide door means removing wall, adding a new header and reframing the opening. Many window companies only swap doors into existing openings.
Iconic Windows AZ is part of Iconic Builders AZ, a licensed general contractor that builds additions and new homes. Our own team handles the framing, header, stucco and drywall, and pulls permits when the work requires them, so one company is responsible from demo to final walkthrough.
A patio door is often the largest piece of glass in the house, and in many Valley homes it faces the backyard and the afternoon sun. That makes the glass package the biggest factor in how hot the room gets.
We spec dual-pane, tempered glass with a Low-E coating that reflects most of the sun's heat. Look for a low SHGC on the door's NFRC label. ENERGY STAR's southern zone requires 0.23 or lower for windows, and that's the range we aim for. See how Low-E glass compares.
You deal with one person from quote to install.

It depends on the door's size and number of panels, the style, the frame material, the glass package, and whether the opening stays the same. We give you exact written pricing on three options at the first visit.
The door is built to order after we measure, which usually takes several weeks. Installing a door in the same opening usually takes a day.
Yes. Widening an opening for a larger slider or a multi-slide door means a new header and reframing. Because we're part of a licensed general contractor, our own team handles the framing, stucco and drywall, and pulls permits when the work requires them.
New rollers can buy time on a door that's otherwise sound. If the frame is bent, the glass is single-pane or fogged, or the lock no longer lines up, replacement usually makes more sense. We'll tell you which at the visit.
Yes. Building code requires safety glass in doors, so every patio door we install uses tempered glass.
