Entry door styles

Front doors built for Arizona sun.

Every door is built to order for your opening. Here are the styles we install most.

Fiberglass entry doors

Insulated cores, no warping or rot, and finishes that look like wood or paint-grade smooth.

Best for most homes, especially sun-exposed entries

Steel and glass doors

Slim steel frames with large glass panels for a modern look and a lot of light in the entry.

Best for contemporary and desert-modern homes

Pivot doors

Oversized doors that rotate on a pivot instead of hinges. A strong statement at the front of the house.

Best for custom homes and remodeled entries

Double doors and sidelites

Two doors, or one door with glass sidelites or a transom, to fill a wider opening and brighten the foyer.

Best for wide entries and two-story foyers

Materials

Fiberglass, steel or wood: what holds up in Phoenix.

A west-facing front door can sit in direct sun for hours. The material decides how long it looks good.

Signs it's time

Signs your front door needs replacing.

Light or air around the edges

If you can see daylight around the door, hot air is getting in and cooled air is getting out.

Warped, cracked or peeling

Wood and older doors break down fast in direct sun. Once the slab warps, it won't seal again.

Hard to lock or latch

A door you have to push or lift to lock has shifted in its frame. That's a security problem.

Hot to the touch

An uninsulated door facing west can feel like a heater by late afternoon.

Faded finish

Sun-bleached paint and stain make the whole front of the house look tired.

Dated look

A new front door is one of the fastest ways to change how your home looks from the street.

How much does front door replacement cost?

It depends on the door material, size, glass, sidelites or transoms, hardware, and whether the opening changes. We give you exact written pricing on three options at the first visit.

How long does it take to replace a front door?

Doors are built to order after we measure, which usually takes several weeks. Installing a door in the same opening usually takes a day.

Fiberglass or steel: which entry door is better in Arizona?

For most sun-exposed entries we recommend fiberglass. It has an insulated core, won't warp or rust, and holds its finish well. Steel is very secure and great for modern designs, but dark steel gets hot in direct sun.

Can you add glass, sidelites or a transom?

Yes. Adding sidelites or a transom usually means widening or raising the opening. Our general contractor team handles the framing, stucco and drywall.

Can you install a pivot door in my existing opening?

Sometimes. Pivot doors are usually larger than standard doors, so many installs involve enlarging the opening. We'll measure and tell you what your entry needs.

Do I need HOA approval for a new front door?

Many Valley HOAs review front door color and style changes. We provide the specs and samples you need for the application.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Financing is available on approved credit, and you can apply during the visit with a soft credit check.
